IH Engineers, P.C. served as Prime Consultant on this project. The scope of work included the design and replacement of an existing stone faced arch bridge with a single span 70 feet long prestressed concrete structure, with an out-to-out width of 52 feet. IH Engineers was responsible for the overall project management of the road and bridge design from concept through construction services. Structural design included 13 precast, pre-stressed box beams, bearings, abutments, wingwalls and retaining walls on spread footings. Civil design included the approach roadway conceptual plan, maintenance and protection of traffic (MPT), detour route, preliminary and final geometry, guiderail, grading, alignment and right of way. IH Engineers also oversaw the permit applications for wetland and storm water discharge impact mitigation, conducted the hydraulic analysis and supervised the field survey. Consideration was given to Context Sensitive Design for the Princeton Historic District and resemblance to the original structure. Awards include:
