  • Bridge Inspection Team Leader
    • Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's Degree is required in Civil Engineering.
      • PE license in the state of NJ or NY is preferred or able to obtain within 12 months.
      • Up to date NHI 130055, 130053, 130078 & 130092 Certification required. 
      • Prior Experience with NBIS Bridge Inspection and Load Ratings in the Tristate Area. 
      • Good communication skills. 
      • Be proficient with AutoCAD and MicroStation.
      • Experience in Load Rating Software: LARS, AASHTOWARE, BXLRFD.
      • Familiarity with STAAD and CANDE is beneficial.
      • Capable of collaborating with a team of junior engineers.
      • Familiarity with Bridge Inspection and Load Rating manuals such as AASHTO Bridge Inspection reference manual, Manual Bridge Evaluation,  NJDOT Bridge Design Manual and FHWA SNBI Specification.
      • Implement QA/QC processes to maintain project quality, including thorough review of field data, design and project evaluation reports, prioritization, and optimization of work programs as well as specifications in compliance with NJDOT and County requirements.
    • Experience:
      • Minimum of 10 years of experience involving NBIS Bridge Inspection and Load Ratings.
    • Responsibilities:

  • Assistant Bridge Inspection Team Leader
    • Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's Degree is required in Civil Engineering.
      • Ready to work in the field doing bridge inspections.
      • Good report writing skills preferred. 
      • A team player. 
      • Good communication skills. 
    • Experience:
      • 0 to 2 years of experience involving NBIS Bridge Inspection and Load Ratings.
    • Responsibilities:
      • Assistant Bridge Inspection Team Leader.
      • Perform Load Rating and work on Bridge Inspection Reports.
      • This position is a full-time for our Princeton, NJ, location.
    • Salary Range:
      • Compensation commensurate with Qualifications and Experience.
      • The projected range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 annually. 
  • Civil Engineer
    • Qualifications:
      • A B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
    • Responsibilities:
      • A Perform structural inspection and evaluation of bridges
        • Perform visual inspection of bridges
        • Perform special inspections and non-destructive testing of bridges
        • Take detailed photographs of the bridge components and identify defects
        • Document inspection findings
      • Prepare bridge safety inspection report
        • Update National Bridge Inventory (NBI)
        • Prepare recommendation letters for bridge rehabilitation and priority repairs
        • Upload pictures and update field notes in the asset management application
        • Draft sketches using MicroStation
      • Perform load rating of Bridges in accordance with AASHTO specifications
        • Calculate the safe load carrying capacity using LARS for steel girders, prestressed concrete beams and reinforced concrete slabs
        • Calculate the safe load carrying capacity using PennDOT Box5 & BoxLRFD for reinforced concrete culverts
        • Use Engineering Judgment to calculate ratings when design plans are not available
      • Perform Project Managerial Tasks
        • Develop and manage project schedules
        • Monitor and track project progress
        • Prepare monthly status reports
        • Implement QA/QC processes to maintain project
    • Salary:
      • The salary for this position is $82,680 annually. 
  • Traffic Engineer 
    • Qualifications:
      • A bachelor's Degree is required in Civil Engineering or Transportation Planning & Engineering, or Transportation Engineering.
      • PE License required. PTOE desired or the ability to obtain within next two years.
    • Experience:
      • 5-10 years of experience in Traffic Engineering.
      • Experience with NJDOT, NJTA , NJ counties and Municipalities. 
    • Responsibilities:
      • Prepare traffic signal designs and analysis, including traffic signal timings and phasing, coordination and optimization for vehicular traffic, pedestrians and bicycles.
      • Develop maintenance and protection of traffic plans, detour plans, pavement marking plans and signing plans based on the current MUTCD.
      • Utilize traffic engineering software for analysis and design such as HCS, SYNCHRO, and AutoCAD/MicroStation.
      • Collect, analyze and interpret data to develop traffic impact studies, traffic signal warrant analysis, traffic modelling/simulation and recommend appropriate capacity and safety improvements.
      • Assist in preparing technical reports and documents using Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Bluebeam.
      • This position is for our Princeton, NJ, or New York, NY location.
    • Salary Range:
      • Compensation commensurate with Qualifications and Experience.
      • The projected range for this position is $92,000 - $150,000 annually. 
  • Civil/Highway Engineer
    • Qualifications
      • A bachelor's degree is required in Civil Engineering.
      • PE license in the state of NJ or NY is required.  
      • Good communication skills. 
      • Be proficient with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and design tools such as INROADS and Civil 3D. 
      • Familiarity with OPENROADS is beneficial. 
      • Capable of collaborating with and/or leading a team of junior engineers and independently performing roadway design tasks.
      • Familiarity with roadway design manuals, such as AASHTO’s “Green Book”, NJDOT’s Roadway Design Manual NJDOT’s Access Design Guidelines, Design Exception Manual, and the FHWA’s MUTCD. 
    • Experience:
      • Minimum of 7 years of experience involving the design of roadways, intersections/interchanges, ADA curb ramps, parking, and pedestrian facilities.
      • Experience with NJDOT’s Capital Process Delivery Process, Standard Specifications, and Sample/Detail Plans.
      • Experience with standards and Manuals from other agencies, such as NJTA, PANYNJ, NYSDOT, or PENNDOT beneficial.
      • Experience with FHWA’s NEPA process.
      • Preparation of contract plans and documents, including bidding documents.
      • Implement QA/QC processes to maintain project quality, including thorough review of field data, design, and project evaluation reports.
    • Responsibilities:
      • Civil Roadway Design.
      • This position is a full-time for our Princeton, NJ, location.
    • Salary Range:
      • Compensation commensurate with Qualifications and Experience.
      • The projected range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 annually. 
  • Civil Engineer
    • Qualifications
      • A bachelor's degree is required in Civil Engineering.
      • Effective oral and written communication skills.
      • PE license or the ability to obtain it within the next 3 years.
    • Experience:
      • 2-7 years of experience in Civil Design.
    • Responsibilities:
      • Develop or apply broad knowledge in the design of roadway infrastructure projects that help solve real-world engineering problems by applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
      • Create in-depth construction plans and layouts with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, Bentley’s InRoads, or Open Roads.
      • Perform design tasks and prepare or assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and other documents.
      • Conducted site evaluations to assess existing conditions, gather data, and inform design solutions.
      • Perform quantity take-offs, engineering calculations, and cost estimates.
      • Prepare or assist in the preparation of design schedules.
      • Implement QA/QC processes to maintain project quality, including thorough review of field data, design, and project evaluation reports.

  • Structural Engineer
    • Qualifications
      • Minimum 2 years of experience in bridge design projects, including reconstruction and rehabilitation.
      • B.S. Degree min., M.S., or higher Degree a plus.
    • Experience:
      • Design Specifications: familiar with AASHTO LRFD, Design Manuals & Standards.
      • Software: CSI-Bridge, SAP 2000, STAAD-Pro, Load Rating Program, Mathcad, MicroStation or AutoCAD.
    • Responsibilities:
      • Perform analysis and design for bridge superstructure (steel and PS concrete), substructure with or without pile foundation.
      • The ideal candidate shall be able to complete work accurately and in accordance with good engineering codes and practice, effectively communicate and coordinate with other more experienced engineers.
      • This position is for our NYC Office, NY.

  • Assistant Manager, Construction Services
    •  Qualifications:
      • BSCE in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a BSCET.
      • A PE License is a big plus.
      • Primavera Scheduling experience is a plus.
      • Effective oral and written communication skills are mandatory.
      • An established transportation related client base in NJ and/or NY is highly desirable.
    • Experience:
      • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Construction Engineering Services for a transportation oriented engineering firm.
      • At least 5 years as a Resident Engineer on heavy/highway construction projects.
    • Responsibilities:
      • Project Management duties on construction inspection/management projects.
      • Proposal preparation for various agencies in NJ and NY.
      • Supervision of staff.

  • Resident Engineer
    • Qualifications:
      • Experience on projects for the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway.
      • PE in NJ/NY, or a NICET IV in Highway Construction.
      • Effective oral and written communication skills are mandatory.
      • A BSCE is desirable.
      • Additional concrete, asphalt, and traffic control certifications are a plus.
    • Experience:
      • At least 12 years of experience in the highway and bridge construction inspection field.
      • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Resident Engineer on highway and bridge projects, with at least 2 of those years as a Resident Engineer on the New Jersey Turnpike or the Garden State Parkway.
    • Responsibilities:
      • Resident Engineering / Employee Supervision / Construction Engineering / Contract Administration.
      • Maintaining good client relationships.
    • Location:
      • This position is for one of our NJ locations.
    • Salary Range:

  • Construction Office Engineers
    • Qualifications:
      • NICET 2 or 3.
      • A BSCE is desirable.
      • Effective oral and written communication skills are mandatory.
      • Concrete, asphalt, and traffic control, and painting certifications are also a plus.
      • Must be completely computer literate.
      • Experience with MS Office, NJDOT Site Manager for NJ projects, and NYSDOT Site Manager for NY projects, Primavera, MURK and other possible Construction Management software programs.
    • Experience:
      • Depending on the position level, 5 to 7 years of highway and bridge construction inspection with an emphasis on office engineering experience. 
    • Responsibilities:
      • Construction Administration / Engineering / Project Controls.
      • Maintaining good client relationships.
    • Location:
      • These positions are for either NJ or NY locations.
    • Salary Range:
      • Compensation commensurate with Qualifications and Experience.
      • The projected range for this position is $90,000 - $125,000 annually. 
  • Construction Inspectors
    • Qualifications:
      • Experienced in highway or bridge construction with a NICET 2, 3, 4, or NICET equivalent experience.
      • A BSCE is desirable.
      • Effective oral and written communication skills are mandatory.
      • Concrete, asphalt, and traffic control, and painting certifications are also a plus.
    • Experience:
      • Depending on the position level, at least 5 to 15 years of highway and bridge construction inspection and contract administration experience.
    • Responsibilities:
      • Construction Inspection / Project Reporting / Material Testing / Material Testing Oversight
      • Maintaining good client relationships.
    • Location:
      • These positions are for either NJ or NY locations.
    • Salary Range:
      • Compensation commensurate with Qualifications and Experience.
      • The projected range for this position is $90,000 - $140,000 annually. 
  • Special Inspectors
    • Qualifications:
      • Experienced Special Inspectors certified by ICC, NICET, NACE, ACI, SSPC, AWS in the following areas: Concrete Construction, Structural Masonry, Soils, Asphalt, Spray-Applied Fireproofing, Firestopping, Fire Protection, Structural Steel and Bolting, Welding, Cleaning and Coating of Structural Steel.
      • A BSCE is desirable.
      • Effective oral and written communication skills are mandatory.
      • Additional varied construction inspection experience in highways, bridges, utilities, and buildings, and OSHA HazWhopper, OSHA 10-hour, and OSHA 30-hour.
    • Experience:
      • Depending on the position level, at least 5 to 15 years of construction inspection and administrative experience.
    • Responsibilities:
      • Construction Inspection / Testing / Report Writing.
      • Maintaining good client relationships.
    • Location:
      • These positions are for either NJ or NY locations.
