Project Role and Scope of Work

IH served as prime consultant on this project.

Structural Engineering

The structural scope of work included the deck replacement of the three span simply supported steel multi girder structure. The structure’s span length was 166’ with an out to out dimension of 54’, and carried two lanes of traffic over I-676 southbound in the City of Camden. The 7.5” deck was replaced with a 9” cast-in-place High Performance Concrete (HPC) composite deck. Parapets were designed to replicate the existing outboard features.

Civil / Highway Engineering

IH's civil scope of work includes geometric design, pavement design, drainage and stormwater management, soil erosion control design, Maintenance and Protection of Traffic (MPT) and detour plans, guide rail design, design exception report, utility coordination, specifications and a construction cost estimate.

IH provided construction support services for this project including shop drawing review and responding to requests for information (RFI).
