Project Role and Scope of Work

IH served as a sub-consultant to TranSystems for this inspection project. The overall scope of work involved the inspection of 10 major Garden State Parkway bridges as well as the field inspection and load rating of three fracture critical steel girder bridges.

These bridges required fracture critical member and fatigue prone detail inspections, preparation of required priority repair documents, preliminary and final reports, SI&A sheets, police coordination for traffic slow-downs, and Maintenance and Protection of Traffic (MPT). The bridges inspected included the Garden State Parkway over Patcong Creek MP 31.0, Mullica River MP 49.0, and Bass River MP 51.9.
